thanks ferguj1 for that will try that now.........will let you know the outcome thanks again.
thanks for your input, but ive tried disabling audio stream but as i expected when movie is converted it as no sound at all...so any more ideas anyone, the original movie file plays fine through VLC on my pc but after conversion i have german dub![]()

When you view the audio streams in ConvertX, there should be more than one if you are getting German after conversion but English prior to. You will have to disable only the one that corresponds to the German audio because as you found out disabling all results in no audio. I wish that I had a movie here that I could use as an example but everything I have has only the one audio track. The only other thing that I can think is of is to go into your settings menu and be sure that your default audio is set to English.

paulg thanked for this post
thanks again ferguj1 with you patience in this matter...i know what your saying that i can disable certain streams etc....the file in question as only one audio stream which if i disable renders no sound at all..again i have gone into settings and set audio default to english with no avail...it is very frustrating(but not the end of the world), though i am very intrigued as to why i get this problem.....but like you say i should have the option of disabling any one language at a time hence i have english prior and german after converting very very strange, im just gonna have to trash the file and download another nevertheless thanks for your responce
Kind regards paulg
