    Winrar files

    Whats the proper way to decompress movie files with winrar. Is there a certain way you need to do this in order for the movie to play Sorry- having trouble with some files Thanks

    Does the movie come in different parts with the .rar format?

    put all the rar parts in one folder and right click on part one and extract

    Rar files should automatically unrar in numerical order - just click on the first one and a box should pop up,just choose "extract to" and extract the movie to your folder of choice.
    if for some reason they do not unrar properly, it is nearly always the problem of corruption in the files when you were downloading the movie.
    if you get this message of corrupt file, you can possibly re-download that particular part of the file instead of the whole thing again.
    personally if i receive a corrupt file whilst trying to open a movie, i normally nuke the whole package and re-download from another source.

    I try to open the extracted file in Microsoft Media Player and it says not supported.What do you guys use. This happened with "Hangover" and "Saw IV"

    VLC Media Player is what I use. Plays pretty much everything.

    Works great I just hate when I D/L a movie, and its only half the movie

    Thanks man I am actually D/L Hangover right now- Second one from the bottom. I D/L the second on on the list and the quality was Great! But it wasnt the whole movie Is that right? or am I doing something wrong? And whats the "Subs.rar" link? Subtiltles? Thanks

    Yes the subs are the subtitles,

    Update: Can you post some details on the .avi that was extracted, its file size and video duration?
