Slow/sometimes not working Ethernet

Weird problem with a dm500s the box pings fine from the pc but I can't ftp bouquets or download addons or soft cams it times out saying no connection but I can use dcc fine if a bit slow its really wrecking my head now. I've tried loads different images with the same outcome. Is this a sign of a faulty ethernet port? Its like it can't handle large amounts of data being thrown at it.

Should I send the heap of shit back to the supplier? It does says it has a 12 month warranty.

Mods can delete this now its been sent back to the supplier, never had that happen before with a box it was working when it wanted to and when it did it was crawling frustrating pos
