What did DVD RB do for you?

I used DVDF 6218 to rip to HDD in DVD9 format.
I used the customize mode to omit some screens/cells.

That rip plays well with VLC MP.
I can select various audio streams and subtitles.

I ran VOB Blanker and found nothing to block because I had already omitted parts with DVDF.
VOB B did find some pointers it didn't like. So, I did a full scan and then let it run it's process.

The result does not play well in VLC MP.
There's no menu. It just plays from one VOB to the next and lists the VOB title on the screen.
This is a known problem with VLC MP but it didn't ocur with the original pre-VOB B rip.
Using WMP, it does play well. There is a menu. I can select various audio/language streams but subtitles don't work.
There were subtitles before using VOB B.

Update:
I ripped the FULL disc to files on my HDD with DVDF6218.
All languages and subtitles work in VLC.
I let VOB Blanker take a look at it and it saw one bad pointer.
So, the two bad pointers from the first rip weren't 'due to the two VOBs I omitted.

Why is this happening?
The rips work perfectly well but VOB Blanker sees bad pointers.
After running VOB Blanker, the rip does NOT play well. Subtitle features are lost.
I did NOT run VOB Blanker on this second FULL DISC rip.
I'm going to back-up the disc without running VOB Blanker.
