My disc stalls on backup with anydvd .

Help a guy out, Please (my kids are anxious to watch this one)

    Thanks in advance.

Dns download dvd shrink (GOOGLE IT) and copy the movie with this software.

follow instructions , click on open disc, this will then do analysis.,
when analysis is done Click on Automatic then custom ratio,
Move bar down till less than 4.3 gigs,
Then use backup and select folder to send to ie; my videos.
Then it should copy direct to disc if you have copy sofware,
such as nero, it pefers nero.

If shrink doesn't work use dvd decrypter, again, google it , but you still may have to use shrink after this.

"Shrink and DVD Decrypter are free softwares".

    I hope this helps m8y.

I'm using Anydvd 6.5.7.0 and dvd43. I guy named Moh said it was real good (in another post)

Actually , after starting to use dvd43, my pc started acting up and froze several times. I thought it was the dvds I was trying to back up causing my probs and that anydvd could not back them up.

    Any hints ?
If i was you i would uninstall dvd43 and run any anti virus software you have if your pc
is acting up. try shrink m8y, i have mentioned how to use this in previous port for you.

    @Wally

Have you ripped this using Dvd Shrink alone?

I have not picked this disc up yet, but based on the amount of protection on it, i kind of doubt that Dvd Shrink (a program that has not been updated since August of 2005) can handle the new encryptions.

Again, i have not picked it up and attempted it yet, but Dvd Shrink lost it's place in breaking new encryption years ago.

Not offending at all mate, i was just curious if you personally backed this up with just Shrink.

Trust me, i'm not knocking Shrink overall. As a ripper, it is outdated and cannot handle most newer encryptions. As a transcoding tool, it is still very useful in low compression situations and a program i use when i can.

My only concern was that as an information/tech forum we want to make sure the information we pass along is accurate.
