Cheers Chim, its a neat little program, but some channels are not available and they show an error similar to this one:

    "Unable to open 'http://1**.90.118.129/tinypop_1?TID=efaa42e9ab49e5d2acfb5ca796c1e7b4&cli entId=653&portalId=&ppvId=0&channelId='
    "

Was having a little struggle downloading from rapidshare as a free user, so i've uploaded the British TV program to MediaFire as a backup:

    Nice share Chimaera

I too am getting errors similar to dan-ger-ous on some channels.

Do you have the source of that file? is it something that is being maintained or updated?

I'm asking in case there is a bug report log where errors such as this can be reported

    Thanks again for the post

Just looking at this again, the BBC news for example is the full news including reports, whereas the Sky News is on a continuous recorded loop of the top stories which is a waste of space. It's a pity the author didn't link Sky News to a live stream.

Yep, i did come across alot that didnt work, i wonder what are the source of these channels, and could it be our backup plan to be saved from IPTV and Nagra 3, . Probably being streamed off the cable network so who knows.

sorry its not perfect guys, i wish i did have the source cos then i could write a version that works

im guessing he is using channels that are online and getting in via an ip address, the menu he has used isnt diffucult to make and his dosent even return ready for the next number

Im sure somethink like this could be attempted with a cmd or powershell file all you really need is the ip address the coding part is doable, i could have a look if we can get hold of some online channels ip address.

Ive had a look round and i dont think its being maintained, and i cant remember where i snatched it from

Don't take any of my comments as criticism Chimaera. I'm merely looking for a way to get the best out of what is a neat little App.

I see it floating around in a lot of locations but can't get any source Info either.

I guess he is using something like this for feeds

BBC - BBC One - Watch Live

a lot of online content is free its just finding it

if we can get a list of the ip address the channels use i may be able to write some code to bring it together

dont worry gman i didnt take it that way

That BBC link returns the following for me

    "Not available in your area"

So I guess whoever wrote that App is clever enough to get around that little trap because I can get BBC using the App.

    Interesting

there must be general feeds that are available probably european market ones that will work anywhere

but then a bbc1 feed should work anywhere from the internet

Im sure there are feeds available its just a matter of sitting down and surfin ur ass off to find them

    try this gman
viewmy.tv - free tv - online tv - streaming tv - internet tv

    or here

    http://wwitv.com/portal.htm

    EDIT
after a bit of messing about this link should give you sky news

    http://news.sky.com/skynews/Sky-Live-TV

you may have to choose what player to use, it worked in media player and vlc for me

edit 2 it seems thats not live but a loop you have to signup to sky or have a sky account to get the live one

    This one seems usefull

This will get you Sky Live.

I decompiled the original executable file you posted but I'm afraid it's not my area of expertise so it's pretty much double dutch to me. I was hoping I would be able to see a list of IP's.......

I don't think it's using IP's either, when I de-compiled the exe it just seems to be making calls to Dynamic Linkable Library's (DLL files)???

Yep, that works fine this end Chimaera,

Now, if you could get all the mms feeds and combine them into a batch/cmd file with a nice little menu & compile it into an .exe file, it would be sweet.

By the way, that mms feed works perfectly in WMP11 too

Well. I will help if I can but like I said, I have only minimal knowledge when it comes to programming/coding or batch writing, so I wouldn't me of much help there.

It wold be really neat if the menu let you choose either VLC or WMP11?

Maybe if we start a hunt thread for TV mms feeds where users can post feeds to free live TV streams? If we got a good response it might give you the material you need to put it all together?

Here's the Sky News feed using WMP11
