Eurovox EX6000 SD Firmware Flashing Guide and Firmware.

Eurovox EX6000 SD firmware now in downloads packed with the STB Tool and NDF Channel Editor, also FTA Firmware, (see links under picture).

EUROVOX EX6000 SD Free to air Firmware with tools HERE.

To flash the unit with the updated firmware couldn't be easier.


Download the file above and save it to your Desktop. (You will need Winrar to open the file >> WinRAR )

Once winRAR is installed the file on your Desktop will look like this , right click the file and click extract files, it will then place the file on your Desktop and show as a folder.


With your USB pen drive plugged in go to Start - My Computer and you will see it named in their as removable Disc.


Open the Drive and leave open, now you need to go to your desktop, you can leave the removable hard drive window partially open by clicking restore down


Open the folder you extracted to your Desktop and restore that down so you can see both your removable drive and the ex6000 KURO file in the same screen.


Drag and drop the KURO file across into your Removable Drive.





Unplug the USB Drive from your PC and plug it into you Eurovox unit making sure both pc and eurovox are turned off!.


Once you power the Eurovox on you will see this on your TV screen.





Then This,





Once that's complete your done, you don't need to turn emu on like the other eurovox's you can proceed to powerscan.

If you want to bring the Keys up whilst watching your TV key in 8282 and the CAS menu will show, that easy!!

Hi There & Thank You For Choosing The Eurovox EX6000 SD USB Receiver PLEASE NOTE: THE MANUFACTURER HAS PLACED A THIN CLEAR PLASTIC FILM ON THE FRONT DISPLAY PANEL OF THE RECEIVER TO PREVENT SCRATCHES DURING PRODUCTION
You Are Just A Short Step Away From Receiving Approx 200 To 250 Channels From Your Cable Provider!! Your Receiver Is Preinstalled With A Firmware Image Already & So All That Is Needed To Gain The Full Channel Potential In Your Area Is A Simple Scan Of The Channels Available.
Please Note: - If You Are Using A Cable TV Splitter In Your Setup, This Must Be Removed For The Initial Scan As The Box Needs To Be Scanned From A Pure Signal – This Will Ensure That All Channels Are Found. Scanning With A Splitter In Place Will Result In A Loss Of 50+ Channels. If You Already Have A Cable Receiver Installed Downstairs & Are Intending To SCAN The Eurovox EX6000 SD USB Receiver Upstairs, You Will Lose 50+ Channels, As A Cable TV Splitter Is Being Used. Always Scan Directly From The Main Cable Feed, Bypassing Any Long Cable Runs & Cable TV Splitters. After You Have Scanned Directly From The Main Cable Feed, You Can Relocate The Eurovox EX6000 SD USB Receiver To Any Room In Your House.
Ensure That The Cable Feed Is Plugged Into The CABLE INPUT Socket On The Back Of The Receiver.
Firstly & Before You Start To Scan The Box You Need To Check That The Best Software Version Is Installed On The Receiver. PLEASE NOTE: THE BEST SOFTWARE IS ALREADY INSTALLED! Select UK/EUROPE & Press OK You Will Now See TIME SETTING, Press the GREEN AUDIO Button To CONTINUE
You Will Now See CHANNEL SEARCH, Press The MENU Button
Scroll Right To INSTALLATION
Scroll Down To SYSTEM INFORMATION & Press OK
The S/W VERSION Should Be V2.02P (NOV 03 2009)
After You Have Verified This Information, Press EXIT
You Are Now Ready To Scan For Channels.
Step 1. Scroll Up To CHANNEL SEARCH & Press OK
Step 2. Enter The Pin 0000 & Press OK
Make Sure That The SCAN MODE Is Set To POWER SCAN
Step 3. Scroll Down To SYMBOL RATE & Select The Desired Value By Scrolling Right
The UK Currently Uses 2 Symbol Rates, i.e. 6.952 MS/s & 6.887 MS/s.
Your Area Will Either Be 6.952 MS/s Or 6.887 MS/s
Step 4. Press the RED RECALL Button To SCAN The Receiver Will Now Start Scanning The Channels.
PLEASE WAIT 5-10 MINUTES FOR THE SCAN TO FINISH
If The Scanning Is Successful, SCAN COMPLETE, PRESS OK TO VIEWWill Be Displayed.
A Random Channel Will Now Be Displayed
If No Channels Are Found & CHANNEL SEARCH Appears Automatically, This Means That You Have EITHER Selected The Incorrect SYMBOL RATE For Your Area From STEP 3 Above OR Your Cable TV Feed Is Not LIVE, i.e. It Has Been Disconnected From The Street. Please Remember That Having A Cable TV Coaxial Cable Present In The Property Does Not Mean That The Feed Is LIVE, The Cable May Not Be Connected In The Green Cable TV Cabinet In The Street. If You Are Certain That The Feed Is LIVE, Then Repeat STEP 3, Ensuring That A Different SYMBOL RATE Is Selected (6.952 MS/s Or 6.887 MS/s)

Q. The Volume On The Eurovox EX6000 SD USB Receiver Is Low, Can I Increase It?
A. Yes You Can, Press The RIGHT Arrow On The Remote Control To Your Desired Volume.

Q. What Is The Standard PIN Code For The Eurovox EX6000 SD USB Receiver?
A. The Standard Pin Is 0000

Q. How Do I Check The Signal Strength Of My Cable Feed?
A. Whilst Watching The Current Channel, Press The INFO Button On The Remote Control.

Q. Why Are Only A Few Of My Channels Sticking / Pixelating & All The Others Are Working Fine.
A. If The Signal Level Is Below 80%, Then The Channels On The Lowest & Highest Frequencies Will Stick / Pixelate. You Will Need To Ask Your Cable TV Provider To Boost The Signal For You Or Invest In A Konig CATV Active Patch Signal Booster.

Q. What Is The Maximum Size External USB Hard Drive That I Can Use?
A. The Maximum Size Is 320GB & The Drive Must Be Formatted To FAT32.

Q. How Do I See What’s On At A Particular Time?
A. Press The EPG Button, A Program Guide Will Be Displayed.

Q. I Know That The Channels Are Automatically Grouped Into Favourites Categories, But Where Are They?
A. Whilst Watching The Current Channel, Press The FAV Button To View The ALL FAVORITE LIST Screen, Then Scroll Right Until The Desired Favourites Category Is Shown, i.e. ENTERTAINMENT, FACTUAL, LIFESTYLE, MUSIC, MOVIES, ADULT, SPORTS, NEWS, KIDS, SHOPPING, INTERNATIONAL, OTHERS.

Q. How Can I Identify How Many Channels Have Been Scanned?
A. Whilst Watching The Current Channel, Press OK, Then Press The PAGE DOWN Button Until The Last Channel Number Is Displayed. The Number Shown Last Is How Many Channels Have Been Scanned.

Q. How Do I Turn Off The Audio Description For The Visually Impaired?
A. Press The GREEN AUDIO Button, Then Scroll Down To AUDIO TRACK, Then Scroll Right & Select An Alternate Language Until The Voice Commentary Stops.

I havent got one of these boxes meself but sounds like you need to do a factory reset & a full scan on your provider. EMU would need to be turned on also.

Someone in the know about this box should be along to give you a dig out soon

haven't had a chance to play with the ex6000sd yet, I will be looking at one in more detail tomorrow so pop back in and I'll gladly help you out .

What is the EMU?

Its the emulator, you cant view the channels unless its turned on.
As said I`ve havent got one of these boxes would`nt know how to turn on the emu.

If you can hang on till tomorrow I can guarantee HiTeck will have you sorted
