Eurovox EX5100 PVR scotland missing channels.

depends on where in scotland you are but if you got SS 3 then you might be ok. see this thread >>> Nagra 3 next areas - post if you have received new cards (uk)
have you tried a factory reset and started all over again as i know they have change freqs latley in some areas and glasgow had probs last week but they all back up n running. check other cable forums you might also need to change your symbol rate. as said look in the other forum - sorry cant remember if they are Eurovox or starview forums but all the info you need to get back up n running will be on here - provided your area has not had new cards as yet. 1st channels to go are usually movies, then sports a few days later.

hi sorry for repeat. these forums very spaced out. too much info all over the shop. . i have tried a reset and d/l firmware again but still same channels. gone from 230 channels to 110. any suggestions.

ah no probs, just it gets boring when people post same thing and beleive me some do it it all over the place did you look in the other places i told you about. HT and the lads will get you sorted. no need to dl firmware again if its uptodate. just a matter of doing factory reset usually and then a rescan, ther eare step by step guides onhere and those that are not pc literate can usually get things sorted. so be patient and hopefully youll get everything back

many thanks. havent tried the factory re-set yet. did try bout 5 scans though. . only had my box for 4 weeks too. my mate has an old ntl box chipped etc, will they be rolled off too when nag3 hits home?? or chipped virgin media cards, are they on road out??

Try doing a factory default reset first and then a power scan.

Make sure you are using the '6.887' symbol rate, Start is set to: 100.00 Mhz and End is set to 850.00 Mhz, and Step is set to 8. Now try doing the scan again, also make sure that the coaxial cable is in the RF IN port on your Eurovox.

most symbol rate lists give telew north lanarkshire as symbol rate 6952?? also i been scanning to 900.000 does this matter too much. and as above will the dodgy cards with ntl boxes still work?? loving the site by the way. very very helpful. i asm computer literate but this is quality.

I assumed it might be '6887' but it might be '6952'. I'll wait till someone clears this for you, nevertheless there is no harm in scanning on the wrong symbol rate, the only downside is you wont pick up any channels if you scan on the wrong symbol rate, and no you shouldn't worry about scanning to 900.00. But normally, the channels find are within the 850.00 Mhz range.

As for the dodgy cards and ntl boxes. I'm not to sure as this is another issue. If you are talking about card sharing on a legit Vir*in Me*ia box then this cannot be discussed on the forums.

no no. not card sharing. not to worry. i originally flashed, then scanned etc. picked up 220+ channels. then last night went on the blink scanned and only get bout 100 now. few prem channels but mainly mince ans a few new ones. heard bout shuffle being done but still cant find so will try linny's suggestion of factory reset then try again. but usually just needed a rescan then it was fine. not sooooo easy this time. but usually scanned at 6952 and it was ok.

As dan said above we cant talk about cc boxes on the forum. But the short answer is, No they wont work when nagra 3 kicks in.
