    request Suggestions for consideration :

Below are some suggestions for consideration which if possible or practical might benefit particularly non techie (new) members of Techkings. As a non techie myself, I have spent a lot of time trying to familiarise myself with the Site and I'm still not there yet.

Is it possible to add a "Helpline" re "using the site" for (new) members - like "an idiots guide" - to include for example :
How to (1) find existing threads/posts relating to one's query/issue
    (2) find / setup Avatars ( I could only find "army" ones on the site )
Information on possible formats / layouts of posts
Could such type of member query be directed to the Tech Team ( Administrators / Modulators ) ?

The Sticky by Gman496 re "Posting & You" is very helpful and more of these could be of great benefit to (new) members.

Some new members when " introducing themselves ", erroneously include their query/issue in their "introduction" (as it was most likely the reason why they joined). When advising them "to raise their query/issue in the Forum or relevant section", would it be practical to include/suggest "the name of the relevant section" to make them feel more at ease in using the site ? A similar stuation is where members raise their queries /issues under an incorrect " Site Title".

To help clarify what language/words are not acceptable within posts/threads (particularly jokes), is it possible to set up data base which would check the posts "before acceptance" and advise the contributing member of the offending word(s) etc which need amending before the post will be accepted ? The Rules merely state " no foul language or otherwise rude messages".

The above are suggestions for consideration to help make new (non techie) members more relaxed when first using the site - they are not in any way a criticism of the Site or of the Tech Team who I believe are very friendly and helpful.
I am glad I joined Techkings and I look forward to availing of the expertise of members and the Tech Team and hopefully to also making contributions under various issues raised.

On the whole we already do this, there are allot that members don't see becuase we move them to the relevant section ourselves, if you check the links I posted bellow you will see the Moderators have closed the threads and shown them where to post there question. If there title is HELP and there post has nothing to do with an intro we may have closed it and not directed them, maybe that is something we need to look at in future.

We have a censorship system already in place for e.g if I was to say the F word it shows like this = Oi, **** off .
We also have a moderation cue whereby posts made by a new member, if it contains certain words such as porn, viagra etc will automatically be placed in the cue to be revised by one of us before going live on the forum.
