Wolves have been left red-faced after trying to cover up the fact that three of their stars - David Edwards, Christophe Berra and Adlene Guedioura - missed the pre-season photocall... by photoshopping their heads onto others' bodies.
The three men were forced to miss the traditional pre-season formality for various reasons - specifically a funeral, illness and injury (though not necessarily in that order).
But, not to be deterred, the Wolves backroom staff decided they had a solution that didn't involve cancelling the whole day - and got the club computer out for a bit of picture-editing magic.
The result isn't bad on first inspection, but once Metro Sport spotted the odd men out it became pretty difficult for us to ignore them.
Another amusing giveaway also sees the two players on either side of 'Adlene Guedioura' - Nenad Milija÷ (left) and Adam Hammill - carefully leaning away from the imposter.
Oh, and the club's official website also accidentally reveals at least two of the stooges' real identities... not that we know who they are!
A Wolves spokesperson refused to comment on the photoshopping shenanigans.
However, he did suggest it would be impossible for the club to rearrange a photo-shoot that involved 'hundreds of people, from coaches and players to photographers' to accommodate a couple of individuals.
Maybe Arsenal can use the same tactics if Cesc Fabregas leaves for Barcelona after he takes his place in the line-up at the Emirates?
