Default Site Issues and Firefox 5

Some members have noted issues when browsing or posting on the site. Issues range from not being able to post a new thread to not getting page updates to load. In almost all instances the user has recently upgraded to Firefox v.5. These problems have been able to be resolved by reverting back to v.4. I personally, have been able to get around some of them by clearing my browsing cache in Firefox. The staff is aware of the problems and are researching the permanent resolution to this. Thanks.

I have had absolutely no probs with pages loading now since I downgraded back to FF4, I never noticed it on other sites Linny as TK is where I am most

If anyone is looking to downgrade you will find FF4 links below, some members were searching for FF4 and even though the search said FF4 when you actually went to download it it was taking you to the latest version FF5.

    Mozilla Download

    Hope it helps

Have to agree with aldan, i changed to FF5 as soon as it was released and have had no problems however i uninstalled FF4 and then installed FF5. Reason for that was i had played around with about:config and was unsure if those changes would be rectified in an upgrade.
Ive also searched for problems regarding to problems with VB and FF5 and found nothing only issues related to VB's with 4 and under.
This is not to say however that people have not had issues. (liars )
Could have been troubles while server was being upgraded maybe?

As ferg says the problem is known about but if it is a major problem than an update from vBulletin or Firefox will be required id imagine.

The problem with v.5 is more widespread than just us here at TK.

I am on FF4 after recent issues here, one thing I find even with FF4 my Yahoo mail keeps crashing, FF4 then sends an error report, I have only had this since the upgrade to FF4 but really annoying.

It only happens with Yahoo, and happens more so when deleting messages. Me thinks FF is rushing out browsers, God knows why - compared to there usual standards.
