HDD's are designed to be accessed, that's what they're for!!!!

If you are that concerned? Switch off your computer and leave it off. It's one way to ensure the integrity of you drive

I personnaly turn off my drives after 15mn if they're not accessed indeed. Ok there's nothing you can do for the main partition, but why using your mechanical if you can avoid it ?
