    Default How to add extra channels to your sky box (Ireland)

    How to add ITV 1,2,3,4, Channel 5 on your Sky Box.

    To add channels to your "Other Channels" option, do the following :

    With your skybox turned on, press the "services" button (near the top of the remote)

    Select 4 (system setup) then 4 again ("Add Channels")

    In the appropiate fields enter the following (move through the fields using the up & down arrow keys)

    For Channel 5 :
    Toggle polarisation to : H
    Toggle symbol rate to 22000
    Toggle FEC to :5/6
    Select the last button - Find Channels
    After a few seconds the channels should appear.
    Use the yellow button to place a tick beside each one you wish to store.
    When finished ticking, press "Select". Channels will now be stored.

    You can view them by pressing the "services button", then 7 "Other Channels" (Other Channels is option 9 on sky + & sky + HD), use the arrow keys to move to the channelyou want & press "Select"

    ITV1/ITV2/ITV4

    Select number 4 (system setup) then 4 again (Add Channels)
    In the frequency field enter : 10.758,
    Toggle polarisation to V
    Toggle symbol rate to 22000
    Toggle FEC to : 5/6

    Select the last button - Find Channels
    After a few seconds the channels should appear.
    Use the yellow button to place a tick beside each one you wish to store.
    When finished ticking, press "Select". Channels will now be stored.


    You can view them by pressing the "services button", then 7 "Other Channels" (Other Channels is option 9 on sky + & sky + HD), use the arrow keys to move to the channelyou want & press "Select"

    ITV 3

    Select number 4 (system setup) then 4 again (Add Channels)
    In the frequency field enter : 10.906,
    Toggle polarisation to V
    Toggle symbol rate to 22000
    Toggle FEC to : 5/6


    Select the last button - Find Channels
    After a few seconds the channels should appear.
    Use the yellow button to place a tick beside each one you wish to store.
    When finished ticking, press "Select". Channels will now be stored.


    You can view them by pressing the "services button", then 7 "Other Channels" (Other Channels is option 9 on sky + & sky + HD), use the arrow keys to move to the channelyou want & press "Select"

    ITV 2 + 1

    Select number 4 (system setup) then 4 again (Add Channels)
    In the frequency field enter : 10.891,
    Toggle polarisation to H
    Toggle symbol rate to 22000
    Toggle FEC to : 5/6


    Select the last button - Find Channels
    After a few seconds the channels should appear.
    Use the yellow button to place a tick beside each one you wish to store.
    When finished ticking, press "Select". Channels will now be stored.

    ITV 4 + 1

    Select number 4 (system setup) then 4 again (Add Channels)
    In the frequency field enter : 10.832,
    Toggle polarisation to H
    Toggle symbol rate to 22000
    Toggle FEC to : 5/6


    Select the last button - Find Channels
    After a few seconds the channels should appear.
    Use the yellow button to place a tick beside each one you wish to store.
    When finished ticking, press "Select". Channels will now be stored.

    here are a few more frequencies for your sky box
    following the above steps that noel has laid out

    10714.00 H 22000 5/6 - channel 4, film 4, film 4+1, more4+1

    10729.00 V 22000 5/6 - e4+1, channel 4+1, more4

    i know, my mother in law has done this for herself, and has thaught the neighbours how to do theirs, she was 70 when she did it first. this is the same woman who cant send a text on a mobile..... work that one out for yourself

    about 3 weeks ago i added bbc hd in other channels and 2 days ago i see it listed under hd channels,no sign of itv hd yet

    A good few mates have the sky boxes (I`ll pass this on to them) & I`m thinking of getting one for the football next season.

    This is handy to know.
