Cheryl Cole files for divorce

Cheryl Cole has filed for divorce from her estranged husband Ashley at the High Court in London.

The Girls Aloud star split from the Chelsea and England football ace earlier this year, following revelations about a string of alleged affairs.

Her lawyers have now been instructed to push through the official termination of their relationship ahead of next month's World Cup in South Africa.

"She knows how vital it is for Ashley to have a completely clear head and concentrate entirely on his football and performance, with no distractions or emotional pulls.

"She wants a completely clean break with no malice or wrangling over property or money. Cheryl will not take one penny of Ashley's money," revealed a source.

The terms of the divorce, which will cite Ashley's "unreasonable behaviour", are expected to award the couple's £6 million Surrey mansion to Ashley.

The pair have been married for almost four years, after tying the knot in July 2006.

While a lot of her attributes are false? there's no denying that she is stunning & he's a total idiot.

No one can ever be the judge as to what it's like to live with someone until they actually have? (She might not have been that easy to live with either).

That said? I wonder how she will wear all that cosmetic surgery over time?

i agree she is beautiful but from what ive read thinks highly of herself. She has mr Cowell as a freind - so shes learning from him !
Yes she has made her own career - which i think he disliked. But she now got no need for him and well if his trousers can stay up then what can you say ! im sure she is living a grand life in LA and can have her pick of fellas. she could however wait a few weeks til the footie is over for England ( sorry guys not putting a downer on it ) think that would be only fair! but hey a divorce like that can be doen so quick - if you can pay you can have what you want!!!

she`s not after any money, he can keep the 6 million pound mansion in surrey, it will be done and dusted before the world cup. she`s a stunner but after her concert for radio 1`s big weekend i would give up sing live as she was the worst performer by miles, could`nt carry a tune in a bucket.:cheesy grin:
