I saw it in the pictures in 3D and enjoyed it, but as you said it was the special effects made it really. Not buying a 3D HD tv though just to watch it in 3D

Nah. I certainly won't be upgrading for quite a while yet. Not convinced by the 3D malarchey yet to be honest.

Did this take care of your question Eva? You were not really interested in getting an actual Blu-Ray disk ripped to your computer then, just playing dl files? There was a short guide that was posted on here on capturing video thru VLC as Franco suggested but I haven't found it yet.
