Default Recieving Runtime Error When Batch Processing with DVDRebuilder Pro

So here's the deal, as long as I do one film at a time, I have no problems. But when I set it up to batch process is when things go screwy. It will go through all the processes just fine and the output files are ok. But when it runs the end script or whatever that tells you the overall results for each batch the runtime error pops up. When you click ok, rebuilder closes out. Then when you open it back up, all settings have been lost. It says default skins have been updated, all the locations for the encoders have been lost, and so on. So I go to all the trouble of fixing the settings and try to run another file through it, but receive an error saying that my encoder does not appear to be functional. I am using HC Encoder by the way. The first time this occurred, I even went to the trouble of removing and re-installing the program. Evidently that did not help. I could sure use some help here as I have never had this happen before. Thanks.

I'm far from a DvdRB expert, (where's Dialysis?) but let's get the basics out of the way.

Are you setting different folders for each project?

As far as the encoder error goes, did this occur before or after re installation?

    That is a strange one.
I have to give this some thought. I just have to remember where I saw the solution.

Different output folders for each (been down that road before, really sucks when it runs all night and they just overwrite each other)

Encoder error occurred both before and after re-installation.

The non functional encoder makes me think that it's a problem with AviSynth.

I will give that a check dialysis. I feel like a n00b for not paying attention to the nymber on the error message but it caught me off guard and I was more concerned with my output files at the time. Thanks.

I don't want to just leave this one in limbo, but after the last go around I performed another removal/re-install and have not been able to duplicate the error since. I do wish that I would have known the exact cause so if it happens again, I would know what to do, but I guess that is the way it goes sometimes. Thanks for your help.

I wish we could have nailed it down a little more specifically. Please do keep us updated on this one should it occur in the future.

Out of curiosity, do you have the re builder log from the most recent occurrence?

FERGUS go thru the DVDRB logs and make sure it doesn't indicate anything. At least for me. I'm guessing as Dia... did that you had something with your encoder progies not playing nicely. It could be a codec thing I think but I'm not familiar with what happened to you... I've been lucky when I run that progie and NOT having issues.

I would definitely look to see if you have the latest HC Encoder and Avisyth and a little research to assure playing nicely together... I'm as 7th is... NOT very good with the intricate details of such programs but I damn sure know when they don't work correctly....
