hey Dee, if it is a pc, how about the gadget on this page, it is fitted with velcro?

Amazon.com: Parents Units PC Guard Tower Protector: Baby

if this is'nt suitable, i will go look elsewhere. you could easily make one of these yourself, they sell self adhesive velcro in fabric shops

If you want a software solution try this . . . . . .Sidi - Free software downloads and software reviews - CNET Download.com

This program performs one simple job, but at least it doesn't make you pay for that privilege. Sidi disables the Eject button on any CD/DVD drive on your machine. You simply right-click the application's icon in the system tray to lock or unlock one or all drives. The only available setting is an option to launch Sidi at start-up. As promised, the drives can't be opened with the external Eject button after you lock them, but since the program lacks password-protection, it won't be able to stop older kids from using them. However, if you need to safeguard your CD or DVD drives from small children and don't expect any other features, the price is right for this one-dimensional tool.
