EPG Write Back Failed!

These boxes are really testing my patience.

1TB hard disk plugged in, formatted to FAT32 and it say's there is not enough room on it!

thats why should sell and upgrade get the box to format i think it formats it to something strange

I got the box to format it, then tried the PC but it still has the same error, I can download Bulgaria and that one is ok. Looking on the forums it seems a few are having problems.

vu solo2 but u get cheaper ones like zgemma about £60 for single tuner Screenshot by Lightshot screen shot of my tv guide and it works for the week can setup up autotimer

I was getting the same thing on both of my boxes with several different USB sticks.

I might be wrong, but there's something about Metabroadcast removing the legacy XMLTV access today and urging people to use their (paid for) Atlas service instead.

I, too have two boxes and came across this problem on one of them a couple of days ago; tried everything, but couldn't get the write-back to work. Today I had to update the EPG on the other box and thought I was going to lose that one, too; much to my surprise, it worked perfectly! So then I switched USBs, did the same thing and that worked, too! I transferred the USB to my secobd drive and now I've got working EPG on both...

If bigback is right and someone's trying to force us to pay (it's called blackmail), then that situation might not last, of course. In the meantime and for what it's worth, the only difference between the two boxes is that the one that's still working has latest (?) Skybox.cc firmware, while the other has Openbox's own (don't have versions to hand, but I can dig them out if relevant)

By the way, if it IS blackmail, then I certainly won't be paying!

Thank's poprune, I thought I would take a gamble on my v8s and reflash the latest firmware from skybox.cc,( No idea what firmware was on it before, but the starting screen comes up different now used to say openbox, now skybox)
Box still working & now so is the EPG, so seems to have worked for me, how long for is anyone's guess.

Mine was the same, reformated stick still the same. Gave it a try this morning and worked fine!
