Cable Freezing

Using an H2H with VM and Sly lines (although actually only using the VM line as my dish isn't working, but both lines are in the file). I have major problems with freezing at least a couple of times a week. Provider claims it's not the line, showed me a screenshot that said I'd had one freeze in a particular period, but I know it was more. My dl speed is fine, using the NetSpeed Test plugin shows around 70mbps every time I test it. I clear the cache regularly, restart the cam whenever it gets really bad, restart the box either with a simple restart or putting it into deep standby. Is there anything else I can do, because it's doing my head in!

Does it freeze on certain channels or all channels when this happens? as in are the frequencies of the channels high or low? Possibility of tuner issue as imho the Zgemma tuners ain't the best. Is there any pattern to when it happens, again is it when say the footie is on or just as and when it decides to do so?

No pattern at all. Last night it started when we were watching W, this morning it was on Sly Sports but changed to BBC2 and same there, I've tried other random channels and the same there. Tends not to freeze for long, just a few seconds at a time, but can last for a long time, if that makes sense! On a movie channel now and it seems ok, so maybe it's "finished" for now. Can happen at any time of day, which again makes me inclined to think it's not the ISP, who I know will slow me down at certain times of day but it's usually in the middle of the night in my experience, not first thing in the morning.

Sorry, meant to ask as well, how do I see what the frequencies are? I'm a bit clueless with this stuff so please be patient if I sound like an idiot. It's because I am!

You mention bbc2, if that's bbc2 sd then I would say you have a signal issue. If you have scanned the correct net id then your fta should be fine and no glitches should occur. Can I ask which type of line your using and if nline do you have the latest mgcam.cfg file on your box?

It would have been HD. Can't say 100% for sure about FTA, but I'll try next time it happens. Line is CWS and as far as I know it's the latest file. Fairly certain I'm using the correct net id for my region.

Just logged into the server site and if I'm reading it properly I can see 44 freezes showing in 25 minutes, which I guess shows it might be the line!
