Zgemma h2s problems

Hi everyone, recently purchased a zgemma and it was great. I changed to hardrive from a 8gb usb to a 500gb external, 2.5 , powered by the box. Since then i have been having problems with freezing and channels taking 10+ minutes to change . Any advice would be deeply appreciated. Thanks

Have you defo set that hard drive up correct? sounds like you've maybe missed something there if all that's changed is the hdd.
If you have your line details handy, reflash the box from scratch and add the hard drive in the new setup, worth a shot!

Ill have to take it my m8's as he originally set the box up! But for information's sake here's what I did:
When you get a new drive, plug it in the front and initialise it: Blue button -> Harddisk and initialise from there. Once done, shut down box and plug new drive into the back port

But yeah I think re doing it sounds like the best thing to do!

You also need to create a swap file.
Menu-infopanel-swapmanager-greent to create choose 256mb...wait...-yello to autostart-red to activate and reboot box.
 
Make sure the drive is mounted correctly and in the right format:

ViX = Menu > Setup > ViX > Mount Manager
ATV = Menu > InfoPanel > Plugins > Mount Manager

should be mounted as /media/hdd and ext4 R/W
 
A swap file is a space on a hard disk used as the virtual memory extension of a computer's real memory (RAM).
Having a swap file allows your computer's operating system to pretend that you have more RAM than you actually do.
 
I'm having issues with the EPG on my ZGemma H2S. When I go to cross EPG then download now it is sticking on the loading information stage & I'm having to reset the box. Can anyone help?

I had the same problem a while back i had to re flash to fix it now its been perfect ever since.

downloaded file zilla done the nline upload but still not working on box rebooted several times aswell

if its nline and you've added into usr/keys/newcamd.list... you have started the line with CWS = line, then restarted mgcam?

Yes done that few times. But just went into file explorer on the box then to keys section then to newcamd file had a look on there the des key never had number 4 on it at the end but when i looked at filezilla notepad it was added on there so some how missed it out. Anyway added number 4 at the end rebooted. Voilaa

What image do you have on your box? (Menu > Information > About)
CrossEPG doesn't always work properly on the H2S. You may need to disable automatic updates and download EPG Importer from plugins and use that instead.
