HD51 4K VM COAX to mutant HD51 4k ??

mutant HD51 4k arrived today i ordered it with both tuners to be hybrid DVB-c/t/t2 tuners i have gone to connect the coax from the virgin box to the mutant but it does not connect.

is this the right adapter i need

only have a single cable feed coming into the house. sorry for being thick what is the splitter for ?

Splitter is to split the cable so yoi can use both tuners. You may need a 3 way splitter if you have VM Broadband?

Can't you use a loop cable from RF out on Tuner 1 to RF in on Tuner 2? That's what I've done on my Xtrend.

If you ordered hybrid tunners as said you only need one feed to box and it gets split internally, my vu has one feed two cable tunners.

Not on the mutant, these are independant tuners and does not split internally. You need to loop it out from A to B

Yours in the VU+ will be a single twin tuner module capable pf splitting internally. Not sure these tuners do that

Unless it says twin tuner on the tuner card then it's not, normally when they refer to hybrid they're probably meaning both terrestrial and cable rather than a twin. I keep seeing this mentioned and people assuming that the tuner is twin when the word hybrid is mentioned.
Best to check first than to assume.

Yes it is hybrid as it has more than one function. But is not a twin tuner. Hybrid does not mean 2 tuners in one module
