Currently have a ZGemma H2H but I am looking to upgrade.
Ideally want
Sat and cable(although will be using cable initially)
Single feed that splits inside to 2 feed for recording 1 watching another
Built in hard drive

Think I have a C line ? Starts CWS

Is there such a box to do what I want?

Technomate TM-Nano-SE M2 PLUS Enigma 2 Linux HD PVR TRIPLE TUNER Combo 1x DVB-S/S2 + 2x DVB-C Receiver

Just recently Purchased and very impressed - only require 1 cable feed as is a twin tuner for cable.

Also has a built in HDD

Works perfectly with Openvix

Thanks techno mate looks good.

Can you confirm please
1 VM cable only required in?
How many lines do you need to purchase for both tuners?
Is it same to install image as my ZGemma?
Will image be exactly the same, as in kodidirect will be available?
Do I ask for openvix to be installed?

One line for cable, one for sky.
It'll be the same process but obviously different software - you can install kodidirect etc yes.
Doesn't really matter, if you like vix then stick to vix.

Thanks

Just so I am perfectly clear, I just need 1 coax cable in back of box which will run both cable tuners?

Also that will require the purchase of only one line from CS suppliers?

When ordering is the model listed above one with 2 cable tuners built in?

Sorry for being a pain but just want to buy correct box

Thanks again you have all been really helpful

Looks like it's two cables you'll need for the cable tuners as I think that's two tuners as opposed to a dual tuner which is the one that splits internally. But you only need one feed, you can get a splitter kit off eBay for a fiver, which does the job as it's Virgin's gear that people have flogged.

Unless I've read it wrong that does have two cable tuners and one satellite tuner.

It's rare that you'll find a combo line (cable and sat) but you can get both from the same server if they provide both. But if you're only using cable initially then wouldn't bother buying a satellite line just yet.

For, there is a new box just come to market called the Edison OSMEGA which has 3 tuners made up of 2 satellite and 1 cable.
Moreover, it supports an internal hard drive and h.265 video codec.
It's priced around £170 which, comparatively, represents good value.
It's similar looking to the Edison osmini but with aforementioned features not to mention WiFi and Bluetooth.

It from that other satellite world shop, google will lead you there.

Sorry bit confused now, will 1 subscription for cable mean both cable tuners work or do you need 1 subscription per cable tuner? Not bothered about sat tuners as yet

Thanks

I've just bought a Xsarius Fusion HD SE which has a single DVB-S/S2 tuner and twin DVB-C tuners. It allow allows a 2.5" HDD to be fitted and accepts 2 lines. It's a MIPS based unit and runs Vix4E2 project well. The twin cable tuner only needs a single cable but allows one cable channel to be recorded whilst watching another cable channel or Satellite channel. Of course it has a separate cable for the satellite dish. The unit cost £150 delivered and was easy to set-up. I'm very pleased with it.
