Best satellite receiver box out of these two?

MUTANT HD1500 or EDISION OS MINI?

Looking to upgrade in the New Year and both of these boxes are currently £99

Any of you guys able to recommend the best option out of both boxes? I understand that both are OpenVix.

Want a 2x DVB-S/S2 Satellite tuners

I've had mine OSMINI for 6 months now and never had a problem with it. It's quick built in wifi is a plus for me no need for power lines.

both good boxes , when running openvix they do the same thing!
HD1500 supports h.265 codec wheras osmini just has h.264; Wouldn't worry too much about this as most video compleression is still h.264
For looks I say HD1500 but feature wise osmini has wifi. cost wise they are both the same.

The only major downside for me on the hd1500 is that there is only one usb port and that is usually taken up by flash pen for EPG and recording. So if you wanted to use another port for, say, usb wifi stick then you can't.
(Yes, you can use homeplugs in ethernet port to bridge the gap but that is an extra expense).

I don't require the usb wifi, as I have a LAN cable direct to my box from my router.
Will toss a coin then in the New Year and decide which one to go with

I've had both and would buy the edison if the choice is between they two, better remote, 2 USB's, wifi, bluetooth and better build quality.
 
Both good boxes, I would have to agree that the mutant looks a better build quality but in terms of operating, no difference between the two. You cannot make a bad decision between these two boxes ;-)
 
can only comment on edision box as have 1 myself in bedroom and is exelant box for what i need it for and as said above,with vix on it just as good as any other box.
