Preview screen

Just updated an Edi mini for a friend and now its on the latest version of Vix 4.2.203 (warning be careful updating to this ver at the moment, read vix forum)

Now the preview screen (PIG) in the top right corner (when you are in EPG for instance) only shows the corner of the screen, rather than a scaled down version of the full screen.

Anyone know how this can be sorted please?

apparently its a driver issue with some boxes
Im going to flash again with an older version, going off vix fast here :boo: too many issues of late

dont see the point in using older non supported images unless you did a backup of previous image=no feeds.

Who said I was going to install an unsupported version? I was only going to roll back a few.

Seriously thinking about OpenATV

Both vix and openatv have had the same issue with the feeds due to opkg so that's what cactikid was getting at with older vix images not being supported

It was me who originally reported this over at ***, issue with the preview screen started with vix 4.2 018 and hasn't been fixed yet, a member over there posted a link to github with the apparent fix and last I heard it was being looked into, haven't tried the fix myself as I'll wait for vix to implement it in a future update, I'm currently sitting on 4.2 016 as that is the last working version on the os mini so roll back to that, a work around on the latest releases is to reset your osd (position) settings to default and make sure your tv's aspect ratio is set to 'just scan'.

Willow, just tried your latest vix build and I get the same PIG problem for some reason even tho you have replaced the drivers?
Im back to 4.2 016 now starting from scratch

Bugger, I may have forgotten to change them on the backup image! I'll do it in a bit, just got home from work.

ohhhh snap! so feeds don't work on 4.2 016 like caktikid and dsayers2014 was warning but if I go forward my PIG doesnt work properly lol

Willow can you tell me what drivers I need to copy from 4.2 016 please so I can make the most recent ver work please

I can't get it working now, don't know if something's changed. OpenATV works fine so you can either go over to the dark side for a while or wait for a fix.

its OK Willow thanks, running 4.2 016 because the P.I.G was annoying.
I had a copy of OScam lying about that I have used for softcam not bothered about other plugins or Picons for this build.

Cheers

i only found out the other day when i went to download plugins and got that strange message and later found out only 023 is supported now.

.
before updating/flashing is best to check latest info over there on current setups and feed status.

I think us edision users on vix are sort of stuck on 016 at the moment until they fix the PIG issue, I'll update when it's fixed there's nothing I need from the feeds at the moment anyway.

Is this just a vix problem. I was going to create a new build today, but seems there is still lots of bugs about in the feeds. I might wait....

The P.I.G driver issue is just with Edi Mini's running Vix
The feed problem is both Vix & OpenATV - but the newest versions respectively are fixed I believe/I know Vix is for sure (Ver 4.2 023)

OpenVix...
Menu>Setup>System>User interface>Position Setup - Then press yellow to set to default, press Green to save. PiG should be back to normal

That's fine if you don't use your TV in 16:9 aspect ratio and use just scale, as most of the content I watch is in sd and broadcast in 16.9 and not in just scale aspect ratio this workaround doesn't help as it cuts of parts of certain broadcasts and setting the osd position in 16:9 to default shrinks all the graphics and don't fit the screen.
