I was looking at this new model, but I'm slightly confused as usual, is the 1 x tuner a cable tuner for virmin, or is it 3 x sat.

thanks

1 x Tuner DVB-S2/T2/C so if I'm reading it right means that it is one of the new ones that supports sat or cable or terrestrial.

I wondered how long it would be before they were available - looks a cracking box for the money :woohoo: Let us know how you get on with it Willo... any pitfalls etc?

Pleased to say it's an excellent box for the money so far. Very fast and responsive (Now I've done away with the Edision remote anyway).
I was looking at the Technomate triple tuner but I wanted one with 2 sat and 1 cable which isn't that common with combo boxes.
No pitfalls at all so far anyway :triumphant: I haven't had chance to look at the Kodi side of things yet or if there are multiboot options.

EDIT: just to clarify the tuner options, the third tuner is one of the new type that is Sat/Cable/Terrestrial so you can have 2 sat, one cable or 3 sat.

Where did you purchase your box? How much?

Also... what remote are you using then if not the edision one the come with it?

I'm not allowed to say but it begins with 'World' and ends in 'Satellite' and it's got 'of' in the middle.

I use a all for one 6440. It works the TV, NowTV box and Satbox and HiFi.

If you open the case to install internal HDD you have to break the seal, does it affect the warranty?

Other than the 3rd tuner I wonder how this compares to the likes of the mutant hd51 performance wise ? Know you get full kodi on this but the mutant is supposed to be quite fast at iptv /plex not much difference in price as well £10/20

Mutant is fast, probably the fastest on the market at the moment but the Mega is no slouch either and it has an extra tuner.
I've got both and they're both fantastic boxes.

I asked the question of the supplier:
If I open the case to install an internal HDD does it void the warranty?
This is the reply I got:
No, provided you take care when installing not to damage any internal components. Ensure you disconnect power.

Interesting that it has support for T2. I wonder if you could run T2 channels as well as S2 channels at the same time. T2 shits all over S2 in the most part, so being able to switch between them would be mint.

You just configure the third tuner as DVB-T and download the Freeview bouquet with ABM.
Obviously you will need to plug an aerial in.
