Mgcamd issue

This is driving me nuts. I have 2 lines from same supplier. Both n lines. I have had the 1 line for some time with no issues using mgcamd so I know my cfg file works. Channels clear no problem. But when I put the new line in new newcamd list channels don't clear. Anyone else had a similar issue?

Have you checked to see if he runs the two off different ports if so the port number will need changing

Does one line have 2 port numbers and do you have a keepalive on top? 2 lines if same server is pointless though.

They maybe the same but some suppliers use different ports for newcamd And mgcamd theres where your have to ask your supplier if this is the case and if so get the newcamd port number from them
Just compared port numbers and their both the same.

Yes but here is the thing I have 2 separate lines both with the same port number.

1 works in mgcamd but when I replace that with the new line I get nothing.

Right it's 2 boxes lol. Supplier sent you new line as N or CWS which matches your present line format? You're using same mg_cfg file then? Does new line work in old box?

Sent as N converted to CWS and yes to all above with exception to trying new line in old box. Will have to give this a go when I get home. But old line works in new box so surely the new line should just work. It does work as ccam but I prefer to use mgcamd

Its either when you've edited its been done wrong or as bangord said it's a protocol error his end. just ask them to send it you as cws line
