Wooshbuild Support Thread

Installed the new VPN plugin which is very easy to use, cheers. I have an issue though, the VPN starts running and turns green with my username and password updated, however no matter which destination i select my IP address remains as my original. Any ideas?

Hi updated to v7 great update, one little thing though when using my zero when I used to press the button for stand by for the zero the TV also went off, now it won't I am guessing it's probably something I need to tick or untick in the settings, any ideas thanks jonnymac

We have found that:
username has been entered wrong on a couple of occasions (mine included - 3 times)
Changed the password via the website and then worked
Some countries don't work and your IP won't change.

As per the note in the plugin, just because the VPN service is running doesn't mean you are running through their VPN server.

The openVPN service is something that runs on your box and is active if it see's the right files in the right place. It doesn't know if your username or password is correct or not which is what determines if you are running through the providers VPN server.

Im getting the stuck on flash gordon, any fix yet?

should I put v6 on then update? thats how I updated to 7 & it worked?
You can flash with 6 or 7 it doesn't matter. The problem only occurs if you run a software update after installing, I would flash with v7 or you are doing twice the work installing 6 then updating to 7. There is absolutely nothing wrong with v7 the problem lies within openatv update feeds

@hkphooey maybe open a new post about the plugin ? Think we are going a bit off topic from what this post is for ? lol

I had ipv6 turned on so the ip in the plugin was wrong so had to login to my router and turn off ipv6, If your ip in the plugin looks something like this 192.345.0.0 then your all good if it looks something like this c2:345:ad3245:a23 then thats not good and you need to turn your ipv6 off from the router
mine ip says 2a00:23c5:c085:1500:215 and doesn't change when changing country.. ny bt hub 6 wont allow disabling ipv6, but when I click on the zgemma conection in the hub , it says the box is not enabled for ipv6 addressing anyway?

when you say change the password, do you meen the password to enter their site or the vpn password emailed to you for vpn access?

Out of interest, what happens when you change the country and press the blue button? Does that stupid IPv6 address change? even changing from german1 to 2 should work.

I know very little about IPv6 except it is a pain in the arse.

updated vu zero with WB7, running digibit plugin , disabled IPv6 on sly router , IP address is now different on plugin under password to when i check it under adapter settings on the box (Network sub menu). Does this mean it is running correctly as when i change countries the IP remains the same?

Hi, Just upgraded and working great. Only slight issue is the EPG and menu's seem to be cut off at the edges, as if the overscan is wrong. Is there anyway to adjust this in the settings? Thanks in advance!

nothing changes
All I can say is, as you will have read, Londonfox has the same issue until he turned off IPv6 in his router.

If this can't be done on the homehub I am not sure what you can do.

The plugin pretty much does nothing except for putting the files you need in the right place. As far as I can see there is nothing that can be done plugin or box wise to help you.

I am open to suggestions though by anyone who KNOWS the solution.

Maybe this may help the digibit users. Cos that automated password was doing my nut in.

VPN Password too difficult to remember? You can always log into our client area, hover over services and click my services, click your VPN subscription and on the left hand side you can change your password!

Cheers I thought it was the full v7 I was using, not just the update, I'll try that.

You would have been using full v7 mate, I find it easier to install the version I want, rather than an older one then update, even though you end up with same thing.
