I was wondering if anyone has any ideas on why seagate expansion is not letting me record any more, it tells me there is not enough space on device, but i know that there should be. I have also deleted quite a few items today, just to see if it made a difference, but it didnt. Recently i have had a bit of trouble with my zgemma h2h, which the hdd is connected to and i had to do a re flash, i also enabled rytec to get my epg loaded, i think this is where the problem lies, i am hoping someone has some experience of this as i would like to try and fix it without losing any recordings that are there, i would really appreciate any help with this, thanks.

How often does it clear the trash can on the drive

I have deleted then deleted the trashcan aswell

Is the hdd internal?
portable?
externally powered?
i have gone through this many times as i had 2 portables fail and only use desktop hdd mains powered now.
recording devices need to be setup in ext3-ext4 as same language for linux use
if you reflashed box storage would need setting up hence why it fails

Its an external hdd connected via usb

I Re flashed before a few months ago and there were no problems then, thats why i was thinking it was something to do with setting up an epg through rytec

Check mount manager to confirm it is still mounted as media/hdd

Yeah tried that but none the wiser, dosent tell me in mount manager

Maybe you need to initialise it in the box and this formats it to Linux format then it will mount?

Check in Recording Settings what the default recording location is set to. It may have somehow switched to Internal Flash instead of HDD.

Timeshift gobbling up all the space perhaps? Clear the buffer and see if that helps.

I don't think you can do it through the box. Can you connect via FTP?

dont knout my zgemma in my recording settings there is a "disk space to reserve for recordings " (in GB) i set mine to 100

just a thought can you screenshot your storage device so we can look to see whats up?
