Smart iptv on firestick

Looking for help I'm new to iptv having used card share before so it's still a learning curve,my query is recently I had to update the Smart app from an earlier build that a mate set up on a firestick I found info that allows this using Apps2fire but after trying and rebooting device and app it always showed the earlier version so in desperation contacted Smart app who told me to uninstall old player then install new this worked fine did the same with VLC player that was in need of update by going over the top of existing installed player with the same problem I had to uninstall to install,is this normal after asking smart app people this question about there updates they say I can install over the top,but after the VLC episode I'm baffled I have all the settings on firestick set correctly ( I hope)

That's what I thought but sadly this was not the case,I have notifications for update apps turned on but,the problem I found that there was no indication that I could update the app,and once I found how to do so it did not install over the top of the older player the same for VLC,I'm not unduly bothered with VLC uninstall to re install but more the smartiptv app as I don't want to end up having to pay again if it encounters a glitch between uninstall and install lol

Then you should contact your provider and sort out it. But you have another option also that, you can try another app such as GSE Smart IPTV and IPTV Smarters App. Both apps are best and compatible.

I have uninstalled smart tv on numerous firesticks and then reinstalled without any problems whatsoever.
The mac code paid for has never changed as of yet.

Thanks for that piece of info, while I'm grateful for the other posters one or two missed the point I have no trouble with the player in general or my server as I have a really good one in as much as he/she is 99% buffer free(thanks to a mate who uses the same one).my problem is it safe to keep uninstalling re in stalling the player for every update as they informed me it can run over the top,but got the same problem updating VLC hence the question, and as you rightly point out the mac code is stored with the server...
