Fast Kodi Box

Hi. I have a MXQ Android Box,but it seems to take a age to load up and run things. Are
there better alternatives, and if so any suggestions.

Cheers All

Yep, he asked for a better alternative so I gave him one. Best box I ever bought, expensive, but well worth it.

All depends on budget and what else he wants to use the box for.

Budget is important. As I said in my 1st post..
My best box I ever owned was eurovox max 3. back 2004 £70
I still stand by a decent provider is the key to iptv.. but hey go..
Right back to work..

Yep, poor provider will still be poor on an expensive box, but @tsmiggy as you said you wanted a box to load things faster and run faster then I stand by my recommendation. If you provider is poor, which no-one is claiming this is the case, then get a new provider first.

As an all round box, nothing beats the shield. Your thread says fast Kodi box, Kodi is instant on this thing, never seen it run so fast.

You could factory reset the mxq or "Root" it then download "System app remover ROOT_v4.1.1017" and remove all the bloat you don't use. If Kodi is the only thing you use it for, you could run Libreelec from SDCard or run it from nand as, iirc, the MXQ is an S905 / 905x SoC. Libreelec runs like a dream on these and the S812 SoC's ;

Hi.I do use a decent IPTV provider, and i do not use Kodi for that.On some occasions i do use Kodi for the latest stuff, but it takes a age to load
and it would be nice for it to load a bit quicker.

Cheers

Wow................thats nearly blown the top of my head off lol.

A amazon second generation firestick will do the job fine. You can now buy an adaptor to make a wired connection for about £12 ditch kodi and use teranium tv with real-debird, as you already have an iptv supplier. No need for a Nivada Shield to stream tv,movies and boxsets. although i am sure they are very good.

I have a mag 322/323 for iptv and a firestick for anything else required.

Hi could some help me i have a open box looking to get my channells back i have new codes installed. Bt eiresports1 boxnation all workin.. looking to get premier sports thanx helped needed

you have to into the web tv settings if you have a channel list appear press the green button and make sure the channels disappear. Then press the yellow button read usb.

Just make sure you can see both the green button settings and the yellow button settings before you delete anything. With the openbox the channel list must be on a usb as far as i know. you will only get channels that your supplier gives you.

you should have a m3u file on a usb stick which is plugged into your box. Then you follow the instructions above and it should re-fresh your channels
