i see eva has come across 2 itgate boxes and needs a bit of help,the good news is a working irl fix has been released for the n2 problem,hopefully coming into downloads soon,how does she do it with distant healing
other fix due for ip box soonwell done to all involved.

I have never done anything with an ITGate box before, so now what do i do?

I have the TGM 220, i downloaded the control center the other day, do i use that?

Quick guide to flashing your Itgate

1. Get Itgate Control Centre from download section
2. get image you want from download section
3. unzip the folder ukURx.x to your computer
5. Open Itgate Centre
SELECT UPDATE if you are flashing by network. follow steps a
SELECT SERIAL if you are flashing by serial. folow steps b

6a Enter box ip address and default username is root and password blank
and click Autoupdate
6b Click serial have box turned off connected with the null modem cable to the pc.

7a Select Autoupdate and select the folder you downloaded
7b make sure COM port is correct,, click FILE. then for some reason it defaults to filetype .bin,,,,, click that change to image file.img. ,,,,,, look in the folder you downloaded and select TGM220_update.img click OK. Now it will wait on box... so turn box on HOLD DOWN THE DOWN BUTTON ON THE RECEIVER to put into serial mode... watch computer for confirmatino box has started flashing.... the LCD screen will stay at 0 untill file has been sent by serial so best watch progress bar on control centre

8a Watch it flash and wait in reciever saying DONE
8b make a cup of coffee and wait patiantly on it sending file to box and flashing, ONCE BOX IS FLASHED, turn it off and back on and when box loads select your PAL and Language etc... DONT DO A SCAN,, just press exit. press MENU, then goto SETUP>EXPERT SETUP> FACTORY RESET
.. let box do a factory reset and reboot... THIS TAKES ANOTHER 5 mins before box will go past the teamUR logo bootup picture. all done! now scan

As you can see the best method and suggested method of flash must always be by NETWORK CABLE or direct crossover cable!
Serial flashing is a long - but very steady way of doing it.
if serial flashing DONT miss the factory reset after flash or you wont get the full impact of update!

We have the capabilitys to update these boxes by AUTOMATIC UPDATE from the actual box. This at moment only gets default itgate firmware.
TeamUr have got plans to add there own images to this so in very near future boxes will be able to flash derectly from net which will be by far easier than any method above!
