"download not requested" is a cable or com port issue.

You need a "null modem" cable the "RS232 serial" is identical
to look at but won't work.

But lets assume you have got the right one

First, if you need to use your USB converter lead, find a driver the "prolific" driver usually work

    HTML Code:
    http://www.prolific.com.tw/eng/downloads.asp?ID=31

Then find the com port number you are using on your computer.

Go into device manager on your computer look up properties on the com port you are using and change
the baud rate (bits per sec) to 115200

then wire up the box and computer and use loader
    to load firmware.

note the USB convertor lead don't normally give a very good connection
I had to give mine a couple of wiggles where it connects to the null modem cable to get it to work. It is better if you can plug the null modem straight between box and computer but on newer computers you will need the USB convertor lead.

flash with firmware 24/04/2011 its in the download section on this site, make sure you are flashing with A780 firmware and not A750 as they both have the same date and it will be fine.

Then do a software update from your remote control

Let us know how you get on

It is easier to use an old computer with a serial port and XP, you can then
wire your box and computer together without the extra lead.

but if you need to use a USB convertor then you will have to do this extra step too.

can you gain access to another pc to try the download ?, also i would download the kryptview"loader" again and try it again

It is not so much the XP system, it is just computers with XP
are a bit older and tended to have serial ports so you can do away the
the USB convertor, they can be a pain to say the least.
No messing with port settings etc.

    Good luck

Try switching on at the back of the box give it a second or two
then hit the download button on the loader.

Give your USB connector a wiggle where it joins the null modem cable !!

that is an old file, you need to do a s/w update to get the latest update.
    menu--------system installation----s/w ---ok
dont touch anything while file is downloading and loading, box will reboot when finished, then factory reset/rescan as per usual.

if there is other things on your internet like downloads etc that may block it out or server is busy exit out and maybe try again.it does happen that it gets busy and you cannot update.

Also if they are working on the server, sometimes won't download
too, keep trying it will go through sooner or later.Takes a couple of minutes
to download / unzip and burn, then your box will reboot and you should be done.
If you are waiting any longer then there is probably a problem at their end.

that wont work as a s/w update is done online through the internet lan cable, you are talking about the downloader com1-4 which is a manual null modem cable flash.
