Army Bomb Disposal Team makes safe explosive device in Drimnagh

The Army Bomb Disposal Team made safe an explosive device in Drimnagh in south Dublin early this morning.



The services of the Army Bomb Disposal Team were required





The device, described as viable, was discovered near a car on Galtymore Road just after 2am.


A number of houses had to be evacuated while the operation took place.


Residents were able to return to their homes at around 4am.
