Speed test good or not

Paddy wireless is alwasys going to be lower and i think the more wirless you have maybe the lower still. Im also on 30mb and just done a wired test and got pretty poor really did anotherone seconds later and got
also did one on my phone for wireless and got download 12.52

just done a test on mine, is this any good? vm ment to be getting 20mb since they doubled speed, but dont really understand it, would be great to hear what i am ment to be looking for, sorry if this is a bit vauge.....

hi all you will always be slower when wireless if u should get 30mb when wireless u will get about 15mb

Eileen as said do a test at speednet - virgin will recommend you test with that and its something we all use and easy to see and understand the results. Again as said if your do it wirelessly you may not get the top speed but doing it wired you should do

You are getting what your supposed to get there for 20mb, I would try and get your upload increased though.

I was getting 100mb down and 4-5 upload, I rang and asked them about them doubling the upload and they did at no cost now I get between 8-10 upload.

yes yes yes ok ok ok we get the message LOUD and clear! BUT you need more speed to run the likes of this place - i dont plus cant afford to go to 100 - i pay enough for my package !


@ Eileen if your getting that on wifi you got good speed! now try it on a wired pc if you have one, i tend to usually do its at least 3 times to get an everage, but then if you do that you do get carried away and tend to play with it on/off all day to see when you get the best speeds. you can also open an account so you can see all your results and check when your best time of day is also if you look top rh corner it will give you the time and date
Also different browsers will give you a different speed - Chrome is meant to be the fastest
