City Banker boys £60k bar bill

PARTYING bankers ran up a staggering £60,000 bar bill after correctly guessing the outcome of the election.
The City traders glugged champagne at a posh central London club after the betting syndicate struck gold.

The pals went to Merah nightclub in Fitzrovia and splashed out £36,000 on a Methuselah of Cristal, equivalent to eight bottles.

They followed it up with another £5,000 bottle of Cristal and a Methuselah of Dom Pérignon for £9,000.

They shouted “Down with Brown!” as they guzzled vodka, beer and shots, with a final bill of £52,117.40.

Then they forked out for a hefty £8,000 service charge.

A worker at the bar said: “They made a small fortune on the outcome of the election, correctly guessing the results in constituencies over quite a large spread.

“Their spending attracted quite a few girls who helped them through all the drinks.

“They didn’t reveal how much they’d won but they said the £60,000 wouldn’t even touch the sides.”


Hands up if you'd like to slap bankers constantly and hard on the head with their 60k!!

sorry i just cant warrant spending that much money on drink i begrudge paying more than about £15 for a box of wine let alone £9k for a bottle of fizz!!!
I could think of far better things to do with £60k! or even £1k for that matter.
£60k is more than most people earn in a year! good luck they won but just shows how people waste money, there are people out of work and the likes of these guys earning and spending thousands on drink thats all gone and forgotten ( with a sore head) in the morning!
