Default Roll-out of 4G Internet network to create 200 jobs

Around 200 new jobs are set to be created as a result of the roll-out of a new high-speed 4G Internet network across the country.

The Irish-owned communications firm Imagine says it will provide high-speed access to 90pc of the country by 2012 through its new WiMax technology.

Phase one of the scheme, which covers a quarter of a million homes, will be completed by the middle of next month.

One hundred million euro is being invested in the project.

According to an e-mailed statement from Motorola today, the company's Home & Networks Mobility business has been chosen by Imagine to replace it's existing wireless infrastructure nationwide.”

Well from what I've been told eircom had a meeting this week to discuss the fact Vodafone have bought BT BB over here and are going to be majorly upgrading very very soon and now so is imagine. Seems eircom are last to move their ass! Thats what the meeting was about, where to go from here!

Personally I reckon Eircom are garbage. Even the employees think so! Rip off merchants. And their the only one blocking sites.
