Woman Dies After Being Run Over By Car Thief

A woman has died after she was run over by a thief who was stealing her car.



The thief stole a yellow MG, which may have been similar to the model pictured

The 42-year-old victim, who has not been named, confronted the man after spotting him in the driver's seat of her yellow MG as it was parked in Wigan.

As she walked in front of the vehicle, the car pulled away and hit her, throwing her onto the bonnet.

She was treated at Wigan Royal Infirmary for a serious head injury but died this morning, following the confrontation in Prestt Grove, Worsley Mesnes, yesterday afternoon.

Police hunting the thief are appealing for information from anyone who spots the MG, registration AK53 WNW, which was stolen at 4.20pm.
