DS charge time query

Hi gang,
just a quick question, how long does it take to charge your DS lite, mine seems to take forever, it had some charge and is still charging about 5 hours later, now it does run for a long time in comparison to the PSP, but the PSP charges in maybe 1 and 1/2 hours.

is this normal???

The ds battery has a finite number of charges before its fecked,by the sounds of it time for new battery,i replace my sons around every 8 months,it usually takes 1-2 hours to charge

it takes forever to charge, but it lasts an equally long amount of time.
if it needs replacing, any good sites(reliable)??

i've recently got some from lightake and had no problem,takes a while to be delivered but no minimum on purchase,plus the 2 purple stylus thrilled my little girl that were supplied with them
