cheapest possible virgin box

Hi. I am a newbie so please bare with me.

I am looking for the cheapest box available to receive all virgin channels. I am not bothered about the capability to record.

Please advise.

great. thanks for the quick reply. any advice on where to purchase the line from where they actually last 12 months. is it at all traceable?

Hi Reaper. My parents contract runs out end of next month so didn't get a box at the time for that reason.
I am just checking that the V8 Golden is still the cheapest non recording cable box? Out of interest what is the cheapest recorder and can both type of boxes be modded with their skins?

The golden is still at that price but you cannot change skin as this is a closed source box. [you can record the channel you are watching]
For recordable and skin changing you need to advance to something akin to the Zgemma [enigma 2] box.

You should look at the edision os mini great little box for the price also fully vix compatible, there's a guide to setting it up on here aswel

EDIT: also is enigma2 so you can have skins and plugins as well

How about a Dreambox 500c [ single tuner... enigma1 ] running with the all singing & dancing commando 16.00 image, full epg & autobouquets, running either Cccam, or Mgcamd...
