System update bricking box

Had an issue with a freezing picture previously and tried everything to fix, did a system update and box bricked. Got a new box and picture started freezing again and some other anomolies and so did a system update. Box now stuck on boot logo with red light, cant flash. Now realised its the system update thats bricking the box as thats the second one straight after update done it.

Is there a fix? Box wont go into flash mode using same usb always worked!

Help!

Is it a zgemma ? There are issues with online in updates with ipab image, stick latest version on a memory pen, power off, Stick in pen in back , power on it should flash new image

It is, previous was ipab this one wooshbuild, usb not flashing just says boot on box with red light

May need to use a different pen as some don't work make sure it's the back port

Deep format the USB stick to fat32 before trying. Use HDD guru or diskpart in windows.

Its the one i always use after hunting through hundreds of them to get one to work :(

Try this, it might work.
Press and hold the remote control power button and select deep standby from the options.
When the box has turned off, switch off the power by the white button on the back of the box.
Turn the box on by the white button on the back.
When "boot" appears in the display press and hold the power button on the front of the box and the display should hopefully change to "flsh"
Your box is then in Flash mode.

Worth a try with the button but i cant enter deep standby because the box isnt booting :)

If you can't enter deep standby just turn off the power with the white button on the back. If you then turn on by the White button what shows on the display, if anything?

Now its flashing with a usb drive that would never work before! Thank feck! Dont system update your box, lesson learned :)

What cured it for you, was it formatting the sub stick as Willo suggested?

No, using a usb stick that previously failed to work :) sandisk cruzer was what only worked before now a verbatim worked, wierd! Happy now box up and running again :) thanks for the help!

I still can't get mine to flash. tried re formating as above. Although when I dl the wooshbuild file it unzips to 2 files 1 is zgemma the other is misc (this is where the ccam file is) could this be the issue?
