Civic type r premier edition

Individual coil packs on those aren't they? ... check wires going to #3 first (free) if ok, try changing coil pack to a different pot and see if the fault code remains or comes up with the pot# you've moved it to (free) ... If fault still persists on pot 3, try changing plugs and failing that, could be an issue with fueling (injector).

Yeah changed coil packs round etc still fault on pot 3
Changed all spark plugs still the same on pot 3
Checked continuity on injector plugs all the same and nothing untoward
Thinking it might be an injector going out of range when the engine gets hot etc
Failing that only fuel pump left if its got intermittent pressure loss or summert

IMG-20190304-WA0001.jpg eventually got to the bottom of the bloody cylinder 3 fault after taking engine out.
Took the head off and cylinder 3 oil ring cracked and damaged the bore etc.
Off for a rebore and new forged pistons and rings to be fitted.

I wish I had the heart to polish mine to that extent.
Yeah i know what you mean mate it takes time and a lot of effort but as i keep telling mi son it will pay off in the end as these cars will become rare soon and super clean examples like this will be very hard to come by (y)
