Xtreme Editor settings advice

LOL @mbull , sorry mate yeah, just sorting and making sure.

Sure as can be after a look in filezilla I found that the picons are being saved to media/usb (I thought it was /hdd but hey ho it's not) and just to confirm that the epg data is defo being saved to /hdd (so thats both into the usb stick) don't know why they just don't call things by the correct name and make things a lot easier though.

And the reason why about 30MB of memory was being taken up as cacheflush reported and was unusual, I was right enough, even though I deleted CrossEPG it left a file behind in filezilla which I deleted and boom, the space increased again after that in cacheflush.

Apart from that, does everyone have the same problem with Xtream editor in that if you restart the box from the menu you then have to import the bouquets and epg again every time you restart it even though you have saved the stuff in Xtream editor ?

IN Short... NO ;-) Never mate

@mbull , any idea why I have to then mate ? I can't have something set properly and I honestly cannot think what it is ?:grimacing:

if you were around in the old c/s this should be easy.

1. just import your boquets and epg
2. set to xsream to auto import that's it.

Your box should now be running correctly.

I have already done that mate but for some reason every time I restart the box (from in the box menu/restart) all epg and bouquets are gone and I then have to import them again, before this xtream editor I could restart my box as many times as I wanted and it would save the bouquets and epg every time when I was using CrossEPG.

Put it this way, @mike123 , does yours or anyone elses lose epg and bouquets after restarting the box, don't think you have said yes or no yet to that ?

No. mine never looses epg or picons. It must be a setting in you exstream editor causing this to happen. It should be saving evreything to media/ hdd. make sure you have import on bootup disabled.

Try disableing cache flush you don't need it. This was made for the old vu duo boxes which suffered memory leaks

These gemma i55's only have tiny amount of memory too though, from the people I have spoke to that know all the stuff they said that probably best leaving cacheflush running in background, hardly any memory in these zgemma i55's, thats why its quite important to use a USB stick or hard drive to save things too as without using one it would hammer the onboard memory in no time.

I have every thing loaded upon on my i55 picons, epg sky skins and it is only using 33% of my total memory. The epg is stored to a usb. just stay away from pre-built images and cross epg. and you will be fine. The i55 box is made for streaming and has pretty much the same specs as a mag 322.

1. use open atv image
2 put on sly skins if you want
3. make sure your epg is going to a usb
4. use 5002 ext player

with a good provider you will have no problems . Like i said cache flush was from the old days when some of the old sat boxes had memory leaks.

pretty much what I have although my skin was customised with someone that helped make it a lot better looking in certain ways, slyk Onyx skin, looks nice.

I tried changing the service type in xtream editor to all the options but the only ones that work for me are DVB (1) and IPTV (4097), the other options dont even update the bouquets or epg, I am guessing it's to do with my suppliers end and not mines, everything worked perfect until I was forced to use xtream editor then the freezing started on some HD movie channels and is still exactly the same, I will be changing provider when my sub runs out, had enough.

Ha because I don’t know how to update my box to something more up to date, that’s my problem when I push the green button to download plugins nothing happens the screen is blank
