any one got a clue

its not the make/type of usb stopping it flashing... the problem is the usb hasnt been prepared properly so the box can not read from it, it is passing right by the usb & booting as normal, a USB to be used for flashing the box needs to be low level formatted with a prog like HDDGURU or similar before being given a 'full' not 'quick' fat32 format with Windows, only then should you load an image for flashing

yes I now I am trying to get it to boot up ,when everything connected turn box on it boots shows wooshbuild 5 on screen then counter on box goes to 99 the screen goes black and that's that I have downloaded a new openatv 2 onto a usb but that does the same if you have any ideas let me knw

Were you able to flash the Openatv 6.2 into the box, or did you just copied it to the USB? If the former, might be hardware malfunction, if the latter, follow
(depending on the box, you might need to be pressing the front panel power button once you power it on with the main switch on the back, wait for it to display USB, then release the front power button and it should display FLSH).

I think box has a dodgy hdmi port as by plugging in cables while unit is powered on can blow them,to check i would try other cable option to see if you get a picture. If you know your box ip webif on pc could adjust your settings in case hdmi setting was changed and tv not able to use it.

hi yes I managed to get it going by flashing it with openatv 6.2 how can I make a total frsh start it seems to have all the old plugins and other files relating to the last owner ,so I want to get rid of all of his stuff

If younflashed it with ATV, it is a fresh start, some plugins come as standard.

Also, if you're going to kerp quoting other posts learn to do it right, it doesnt take two posts, thanks.
