Starview 7???

Hi guys need some advice I have bought what I believe to be a starview 7 box, the front panel of the box where it has the model number happens to be missing. how can I confirm I have been sold the correct model?

As you know the back of the unit has no information and the system information is useless as well. Is there a database where I can check via box number? Or if someone can check for me I will be extremely grateful. Thanks in advance

go to menu -system info-and tell us what it says there.

box no. are of no use to us, 221 is a firmware used for sv6 and sv7 pictured above.

So if it tried to dload 2.21 firmware on a starview 5 or below it would not allow me? I only ask because the box may be an older model than 6 or 7.

Is there no other way of finding out for sure what the box model is?

older starviews have no lan port and are probably a different colour.

This box looks like a starview 6 or 7 from the front but missing the panel, there is no LAN port in the back so can't be a 6. However as far as I was aware a few of the starview 7 boxes came without a LAN PORT? how can I attach an image?

image is put on a usb stick,if no lan on sv7 it should have the adapter as in photo.look in the starview section and have a read.

The box didn't come with an adapter, after looking at images of other models I think its a 7 just wanted to be 100% sure. I'm just going to have a go with this box. Hopefully all will be OK, thanks for all your help...

you need to get a lan adapter or the box is less use than a freeview box
