Another FileSharing site casualty

After Megaupload now Filesonic and soon Fileserve,you can not download from filesonic unless you are the owner of the file,all out war seems to have been declared on the sharing sites

Just a little more information:

FileSonic, one of the most popular file-sharing websites on the Web, has announced that it is has disabled “all sharing functionality”, and that its service can “only be used to upload and retrieve files you have uploaded personally”.
The company’s Facebook page has also disappeared. According to users on Reddit it is believed that many accounts and files were deleted today.
It is thought that this measure has been put in place in response to the wider crackdown on file-sharing sites by U.S. authorities.

damn! looks like they going to target as many file-sharing websites as possible - Anonymous will just cause more havoc now.

To also add to that, unless I am missing something, all mention of and listing of earnings has been removed from the Fileserve site.
When you click on the old link about making money online, you get a 404 Page does not exist error.

internet war is well and truly under way then - Anonymous have entirely stolen Sony Music and Movie Library.

Yep from what I have been reading, FS has been deleting accounts left and right, however, in their scheming ways, they are not deleting users files. That way they are still getting the traffic and benefiting from it. But those members who purchased premium accounts or had loads of files and information stored, are just out of luck. I understand the deletion of files themselves as per DMCA, but this underhand move, without any notice to the members what so ever, is too low. So I have deleted almost all of my stored content, which by default kills most of my posts.

suppose we knew this was on the way after megaupload went.
RIP to them all for now. Best make sure my prem accounts are not auto rolling and cancel them

I wouldn't feel to sorry for the owner of megaupload, I guess in his case crime does pay.

It seems ALL filesharing sites went into a scare frenzy after one of the biggest of them all(megaupload) fell...Oron and Uploading.com have closed their affiliate accounts as well...
