is the TM500 same as the TM500 super ? i'm new to the satelite thing and have been advised to back my TM500 super up and then patch/ flash it (one step at a time me thinks) this basically means nothing to me as i'm a technophob so any help/links backing my box would be gladly recieved.

    Thanks in advance

hey mate they are similar, the tm500 was superseded by the tm500 super, the only thing that changed was more ram added to the super.

To backup your receiver you need Technomate Control Center available from technomate own site.

You can get all the latest software from here
    Code:
    http://download.for-better.biz/bbs/main.php
you will need a db9 rs232 null modem cable to back up and restore/flash new images to your receiver. If you computer dosent have a serial port you will need a serial converter, ebay is the best place for these items.

alternatively you can use the miniweb interface but im sure there's guides on here on how to use this. if you get stuck or need help feel free to drop me a pm
