Gardaí in Dublin have seized 14kg of cocaine worth an estimated €9.5m.

The drugs were found in a house in Terenure as part of an intelligence-led operation targeting one of the capital's criminal gangs.

Two handguns along with mixing agents were also found at the house.

The seizure is part of an operation which has been running for a number of months.

The searches were carried out following the seizure last Thursday of €2m worth of cocaine at a house in Tallaght. A man and a woman arrested following that seizure are still being questioned.

Couple held in drug raid were due to wed​

A COUPLE spent their planned wedding night being quizzed by drugs detectives investigating a multi-million euro cocaine haul.

Follow-up searches after the young couple's arrest resulted in one of the biggest drugs seizures of the year as gardai uncovered a massive cache of pure cocaine estimated to be worth €9.5m.

The pair -- a 29-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman -- were taken into custody for questioning last week after €2m worth of cocaine was uncovered at a house in south-west Dublin.......Read more here
