Other O/S 27" imac

need a bit of advise please, buying a imac today & was wondering what the best av is for it? used pc`s for years now & just fed up with all the updates etc, i used avast free on that, will it work on the mac at alll or is there a better one out there? cheers, also if anyone knows any good tuts out there let me know :lol: :lol: its a big step for a old bloke :lol:

hmmmmm well the mac forum i just joined said i don't need one at all, just a malware protector? totally new to apple though so no idea at all, all i know is im £1700 short now lol

You will get people say you don't need AV for MAC's and these people have been saying this for years but me personally would always install an AV on a MAC or any device for that matter.
Take a look at OSX/KeRanger-A. for example which is a ransomware for MACs
MAC's do get viruses!

They just aren't targetted as much as Windows pc's.
