4K cable box with recording ability ?

Is there any point of a 4k reciever , do vm lines clear 4k channels ?

Personally I wouldn't buy any receiver thinking you will get 4K, it's too early to say if will will ever see it.

I bought the mutant HD51 because of the internal HDD, 1.7ghz processor and of course its twin cable.

I wasnt thinking of buying one i was just asking in case OP was hoping to get 4k channels :)

It's anyone's guess if or when we will see them, the manufacturers are obviously hopefull, or they wouldn't be making the receivers.
Personally I think it's ages away, and the box may be out of date by that time.

You have no chance of getting the channels in 4K for a long time if ever

I think the VU+Solo 4K outputs 2160p.

if you have a 4k tv the box does upscale very well
