Looks like Amazon are on a purge again and have removed the very popular firedl app from their store.
If you have it installed via your account then you should be ok but any new accounts from today are unable to install it as a new app.
It can still be done by other means such as the apk and then load it via downloader app.

Very true, but try and find a decent Android box for under £25. You can't knock a Firestick for the price.

Agreed, but with most things in life you get what you pay for,

    You can still use it.
All they have done is make it more difficult to install all the apps they don't want us to use.
Just turn the apk's into tiny urls and load up that way so takes a minute longer !

The crazy thing is that most people probably buy amazon devices for IPTV ,Kodi etc so if they block these why would you buy one lol.

I've just bought a new one, my son's 1st gen broke, so I just got him a 2nd gen for £24.99

Like @benijofar has said, it's just a slightly longer process to install the apps, there will always be a way around it. Downloader still works and that's all I need to get my IPTV onto it for him.

Here is a fix to reinstall firedl but don't know how long it will last !

FireDL is no longer available on Amazon App Store!
    Use this URL
    http://aidymatic.co.uk/firedl.apk
    on ANY Android Device!

They are back at Black Friday prices at the moment on Amazon and at Argos. I have always just used the downloader method for installing stuff myself.

It's the Alexa one, not sure if it's 8gb. It's not the new 4k one, it's the one that was out before that.

You can't complain for the price, they are never going to set the world alight, but you would be very hard pushed to find something that offers as much as a Firestick does for £25.

I see the 4k firestick is down to 39.99 from 49.99
Black Friday they were down to 34.99 so not the same saving but still decent, is it worth the extra 15.00 over the ones listed above... I think so for the higher spec
